Job Title: Director of Business Development
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Director of Business Development with strong experience in SaaS solutions and a background in reverse logistics, returns management, supply chain, or logistics. This leader will be responsible for building and expanding key partnerships, developing new revenue channels, and driving enterprise-level growth within a fast-scaling environment.
This role requires someone who understands both the technical and operational challenges brands face in the post-purchase ecosystem, and who can translate that knowledge into compelling value propositions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Growth:
- Identify, develop, and close new revenue opportunities within enterprise and mid-market accounts.
- Build a scalable pipeline aligned with company growth goals.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies targeting retailers, 3PLs, logistics networks, and e-commerce brands.
- Lead strategic sales cycles from initial outreach to contract negotiation.
Partnership & Ecosystem Growth:
- Build and manage relationships with logistics partners, reverse logistics providers, 3PLs, and supply chain technology platforms.
- Identify cross-selling and integration opportunities that strengthen the company’s overall ecosystem.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to communicate market needs and influence roadmap decisions.
Market Strategy & Insights:
- Maintain deep understanding of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer pain points in the reverse logistics and returns space.
- Provide market feedback to leadership to refine messaging, positioning, and commercial strategy.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Marketing to develop campaigns, case studies, and demand-generation initiatives.
- Mentor and support junior business development team members as the organization scales.
Required Qualifications:
- 7–12+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, or Enterprise Sales.
- Proven experience in SaaS, ideally within e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain tech.
- Direct exposure to reverse logistics, returns management, or supply chain operations (preferred).
- Strong network within retail, logistics, or e-commerce ecosystems is a major plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles and close complex enterprise deals.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive-level relationship-building skills.
- Highly analytical, strategic thinker with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with integrations/API-driven SaaS solutions.
- Understanding of warehouse operations, 3PL workflows, and post-purchase systems.
- Ability to translate operational challenges into clear technical requirements.
- Strong presentation and storytelling abilities.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
Our Tech-Nique is the difference.
The technical recruiting industry has rapidly changed over the past decade. What was once a "people" business, driven by relationships, has become transactional and volume based. Candidates have become names in databases, agencies are one of thirty on a vendors list, judged by a KPI. A client is a priority number on a recruiter's hot sheet based on bill rate, fee percentage and ease of fill.
The days of understanding a candidates personal desires and career trajectory or an organization’s cultural nuances and technical environment have shifted to mass resume submissions, distribution lists, and vendor management systems. Generic job descriptions are normal. Everything looks the same. Face to face meetings have been replaced with video & emails and resumes are doctored to match job descriptions.
Recruitment is an art and a science. The recipe for success does not lie in a company's size or its tools, but rather, in the people it employs. It takes talent to find talent. Success in this industry depends on effective communication with all parties, while accurately and transparently setting and managing expectations.
